Question: If I pass my Lifesaver 101 program, will my certificate be legally recognized?
Answer: All employers who are subject to the Occupational Health and Safety Act must comply with Regulation 1101 under Section 3 of the Workplace Safety & Insurance Act. Lifesaver 101’s courses have been prepared to meet these requirements and have been approved by the WSIB. Click here for more information from the WSIB website including a list of approved providers.
Question: What happens if I am late?
Answer: All Lifesaver 101 course content have been created and structured to meet the learning objectives stipulated by the WSIB, our governing body. If you are late you will miss important and mandatory information and, consequently, we will not be able to issue you a certificate. As well, in fairness to Lifesaver 101 personnel and those participants who arrive on time, your punctuality is essential in order to avoid the unnecessary interruptions directly resulting from late entry. We recommend that you acquire directions to our training center and familiarize yourself with transportation details (i.e., bus routes, travel time) prior to the day of your course. Please observe your exact course starting time and strive to arrive ten to fifteen minutes in advance to allow sufficient time for registration.
Unfortunately if you arrive late you will need to reschedule at your own expense.
Question: Do I need to bring anything with me to my course?
Answer: We supply all required material for your course. The only thing we ask participants to bring is a pair of indoor shoes. Clean, dry footwear is required for the training room. Outdoor footwear is never permitted inside the training area. If you don’t have indoor shoes you may use pair of slippers which we will provide or you can wear your socks (or facility is carpeted).

Answer: You are welcome to bring your lunch to the training facility and eat here during the lunch break. We have a refrigerator and microwave in the facility for your use. There is also a restaurant in the plaza and other options, such as Tim Horton’s, in the area.
Question: If I drive, is there nearby parking available?
Answer: There is plenty of parking at the training facility. Please do not park in front of the other businesses, use the parking spaces on the fenced side of the lot instead of the ones in front of the building.

Answer: We accept Visa, Mastercard, eTransfers or cash. Businesses or organizations may be invoiced for their training and pay by cheque or credit card.. Sorry, we do not accept payment by personal cheque or American Express.
